It’s tough to put into words how we feel when we find out we’re going to be parents for the first time. It doesn’t matter if we’re expecting moms or fathers; the great majority of us are just thrilled to discover we’re having a kid.
Naturally, our first thoughts are of hope. Perhaps we envision how our child will seem, or we fantasize what we will teach or experience with them. Many of us are curious about how it will feel to hold them for the first time.
Unfortunately, not all pregnancies result in the bliss that most of us expect as children. Carlos Morales, from Phoenix, Arizona, is all too familiar with this awful fact, and his story is a wonderful example of life’s bittersweet aspect…
Carlos and Erica Morales appeared to be a couple made in paradise. The pair started dating in 2006 after meeting at a nightclub in Scottsdale, Arizona, and despite a language barrier – Carlos didn’t speak English and Erica didn’t speak Spanish – they were unmistakably attracted to one other.
According to rumors, Carlos and Erica spent the most of the first night dancing. When the nightclub closed, Carlos jotted down his phone number on a scrap of paper and gave it to Erica to do with as she pleased.
Erica eventually misplaced the paper containing Carlos’s phone number, and that could have been the end of it. Fate, it seemed, had other intentions.
The pair reconnected, this time through common acquaintances, and it wasn’t long before they recognized their love for one another were genuine.
Carlos studied English as a sign of dedication in order to speak well with Erica. Meanwhile, Erica was studying Spanish.
“Take a look at these blessings. I want to give them the greatest kiss even when they scream their brains off.”That’s what I mean…
The couple married in a Las Vegas ceremony in 2007, and then began attempting to start a family.
Their first effort ended in tragedy when they miscarried. Erica became pregnant again thanks to fertility therapy, and this time the pair was in for a huge surprise.
When Erica went for her first ultrasound, physicians informed her that she was carrying not one, but four babies!
Carlos and Erica prepared to become parents to quadruplets over the course of many months. Carrying four children rapidly took its toll on Erica, so Carlos tried his best to look after her while still doing housework like cooking and cleaning.
On March 1, 2015, ABC15 Arizona published an article.
Erica was brought to the hospital on January 12, 2015, due to excessive blood pressure. Before Carlos arrived, she contacted him to explain that physicians wanted to deliver the infants soon away due to her continuous contractions.
